What is blogging?

Answer:
Blogging is the act of keeping a weblog,
more commonly known as a blog.

Although blogs began as more of a local idea (sort of an online journal), today, blogging can be used for marketing, public relations, promotion, sales, etc.  People who are good at blogging can use their blogs to reach out to others on the internet and find a connection.  Once that connection is set, bloggers continue to post their thoughts to their online friends, and they build up an interested community – a marketplace where they are already trusted and their advice is sought.

Blogging can take time, and those wishing to expand their customer bases need to be patient.  The first step is to choose the host for your blog – make sure it has the access and popularity you want.  There are a number of hosts, including Wordpress, Blogger, Blogspot, Livejournal, etc.  Each has their own pros and cons, including ways to discourage spammers and encourage responses.  The key is to make your blog stand out from the many.

Choose pertinent topics when blogging, such as your thoughts about popular books or movies, your favorite form of entertainment, or perhaps why certain political ideas interest you.  The best blogging comes from those who are able to express an opinion without alienating those who feel differently.  It’s an art form, and if you’re interested in joining in, read some blogs on your chosen host site to see what you like and what you don’t.  Once you have established clientele, then you can begin selling your products or services.  Blogging can be an effective tool in this techno-savvy time.
