What is Customer Service?

Answer:
Customer service consists of the actions that a business performs for clients or customers
while they are buying products or utilizing a business’s services.  Customer service usually refers specifically to a business’s personnel who interact directly with their customers/clients.  For example, these personnel can serve as cashiers at a retail location, associates at a call center, or technical specialists who visit customers’ homes to perform maintenance and/or installation. 

In general, when one refers to customer service speaking as a consumer, this comes to mean one’s overall experience with a company, their products and their service.  Customer service also has come to mean a particular department or group of people who are authorized to handle clients and customers’ negative complaints and positive feedback.
