How do you incorporate in Florida?

Answer:
To incorporate in Florida, whether you are establishing
a for-profit or non-profit corporation, you must draft and file Articles of Incorporation with the Florida Department of State Division of Corporations.

The Articles of Incorporation for Florida corporations must include the following (at a minimum):

·    Official name of the corporation (including a corporate suffix, such as Inc., Incorporated, Company, or Co.)
·    Mailing address and physical location for principal place of business
·    The number of authorized shares of stock
·    Name and physical street address for registered agent
·    Name and address of the incorporator
·    If the entity is a “Professional Corporation,” it’s specific purpose must be stated
·    If the entity is a non-profit corporation, the articles must state the manner for electing or appointing Directors

Specific filing instructions and fees are available on The Florida Department of State Division of Corporations website
